Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and EVITP are pleased to offer training stipends to support qualified electricians in the TVA service territory.
Eligible participants must be members of a TVA contractor network. Non‑members can join the Preferred Partners Network (commercial/industrial Join the Preferred Partners Network – TVA EnergyRight) or the Quality Contractor Network (residential Join – EnergyRight) to qualify.
Training stipends of $775 will be awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis to qualified electricians who complete the EVITP course and exam. All stipends are in the form of reimbursement post course work and exam.
Either individual electricians or electrical contractors (submitting on behalf of their employees) may apply for the stipend.
Follow these steps to apply and receive reimbursement:
Step 1: Register for EVITP
Submit credentials (license or proof of 8,000 hours of electrical work)
Step 2: Complete payment link to access course
May be completed by Individual or Contractor
Charged $275.00
Step 3: Successfully Complete Course and schedule online proctored exam
All fully online. Passing grade for EVITP course and exam is 70%.
Step 4: Receive EVITP Certification Number
Certification number is generated by EVITP and emailed to you.
Step 5: Visit Reimbursement Page
You will need your EVITP Certification Number. May be completed by Individual or Contractor.
